Video game “bosses” are extra-strong enemies you fight at important moments in the game, usually at the end of levels. They’re much stronger than normal enemies and have special attack moves you need to learn and counter.
Beating a boss usually takes several tries and will reward you with story progress or new abilities. Think of them as a final exam for each section of the game.
